Privacy policy
Summary
Vintage Audio Online does not use cookies, does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts, and does not ask you for an account or personal information.
What we process
- Server logs. The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser user agent and the pages you request to deliver and protect the site, and keeps short-lived operational logs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Searches. What you type in the search box is sent to our server to fetch matching listings from eBay; we do not link searches to you.
- Votes on top lists. When you vote, we store only a vote count per entry and a one-way hash of your IP address combined with the date, the entry and a secret value. The hash cannot be turned back into your IP address; we use it only to allow one vote per entry per day and to limit abuse, and it expires automatically after about two days. We never store your raw IP address and use no cookies for voting.
- Model suggestions. If you suggest a model, we store the text you typed (up to 200 characters), the list and the date for our private review. Suggestions are never published automatically and are deleted after about 90 days. Please don't include personal information.
Links to eBay (affiliate links)
Listing links go to eBay through the eBay Partner Network (EPN). When you click one, eBay and EPN may set cookies and collect data on their own sites under their own policies, for example to credit us with a commission. We do not receive your personal details from eBay. See eBay's privacy notice.
Listing data and images
Listing titles, prices and photos are provided by eBay through its public API and belong to eBay and its sellers. We show them only to link you to the live listing, refresh them at least hourly and do not store them permanently.
